22” Kontroversial Crash/Ride, 1931 grams

As I’ve mentioned previously, a lot of my work is special custom orders.

I recently made two rides like this, one the client chose and this is the other one.

It’s the first crash/ride of this series to make it onto the website.

Apart from the light weight and the edge taper, this crash/ride also features some extra dense, circular band hammering on the top, from the upper bow to a few inches in from the edge. This increases the sizzle and speak time, whilst the slightly looser edge aids the control. The curvature on the profile is also smoother, which gives a very balanced spread and a touch more wash.

This cymbal crashes easily but still has enough control to be a fantastic ride.
